Indiana University works hard to build relationships with sponsors, allowing organizations to collaborate and gain exposure through a world-class institution while providing value-added benefits to students, alumni and fans. The Office of Licensing and Trademarks came to us to develop a guide that would give details for each level of partnership and demonstrate language and logo pairing. As designer and creative lead, I worked with a content specialist to develop a consistent visual system for internal units and external partners to follow. The comprehensive guide shows allowed wording, demonstrates specific sizing and shows exactly how to lay out a sponsor or partner logo with the IU marketing lockup. In order to bring life to a technical guide, I created examples of fictitious company logos paired with the IU mark on ads, billboards, swag and social media.
